PHILOSOPHY POSTERS – March, 2019
This project easily stands out as one of my favourite works, personally. Our university commissioned four posters to be designed that would advertise new classes offered by our philosophy department. The goal was to create a design that would be both new and exciting, drawing attention from the student body and entice them to sign up for the classes. The challenge therefore was to conceive of a design that took a topic that was largely abstract and make it both tangible and visually striking. The resulting posters drew much inspiration from the abstract and psychological character of the vapour-wave style, combined with bold Helvetica and strong black and white points of contrast that brought the overall design into a more modern context.
